About This Training:

This informative training session is designed to help you attain a better understanding of SCIF construction; from initial contract reception, managing the contract and award transitioning into the architectural process, compliant with federal requirements.


What You Will Learn:

  • Explain the basics of the Federal procurement process as it relates to SCIF construction
  • Explain the difference in government and private sector contract acquisition process, including the process for contractor selection
  • Interpret the specific building requirements contained in a SCIF contract
  • Verify building standards as documented in DCID/ICD and apply them to the contract acquisition and design process
  • Explain the role of the government in the oversight and certification of SCIF construction
  • Explain “Security-in-Depth” and how it applies to SCIF construction
  • Identify the peripheral security requirements in a SCIF based on the contract award and government standards
  • Explain the benefits and limitations of intrusion detection systems and communication systems.
  • Describe the types of IT security issues typically included in SCIF contracts
  • Describe the quality control issues related to SCIF construction

No cancellations or transfers are accepted within 4 (four) weeks prior to the workshop start date. PLEASE NOTE: No shows will be liable for the entire registration fee. In the rare occasion that an event is cancelled or postponed, please note our reimbursement is limited to paid tuition only.
